At the 20th conference "Slovenian Days of Informatics" (Portorož, 15-17 April 2013), the Slovenian society Informatika awarded IZUM a special prize for its contribution to the development of library informatics. Among the reasons, Mr Niko Schlamberger, the president of the Society, mentioned the extraordinary contribution of IZUM towards Slovenian informatics and emphasised the importance of IZUM's main services - COBISS and SICRIS - for Slovenia's potential. The award (the only of its kind granted to legal entities), which places IZUM among the top Slovenian organisations, was accepted on behalf of IZUM by Mr Davor Šoštarič, director of IZUM.
